Move over YouTube and Google Video, joining the foray of new media companies vying at a stake in the web video market, Yahoo! has introduced Yahoo Video!
A by-product of the convergence of new media, slowly more and more educational information is being made available through the medium of the Internet. A number of librarian selected highlights are included below.
Databases:
Internet Archive The Moving Image Archive includes over 34,527 items, from 1930's Popeye cartoons to the 2004 presidential debates.
National Archives
The National Archives includes over 103 historic documentaries and newsreels.

Recent Visitors to the NYIT Library Blog
In his latest bestseller, The World is Flat, Thomas L. Friedman describes the unplanned cascade of technological and social shifts that is currently causing the flattening of the world. As evidence, the graphic below displays recent NYIT Library Blog visitors. These include people from as far away as Shanghai and Milan, to as close as Memphis, Tennessee and Salt Lake City, Utah.
